One of the worst things that could ever happen to anyone who is building a patio or deck is overpaying your contractor for an inferior product. If you’re not planning on getting at least three estimates, it’s your own fault. That doesn’t mean that you can’t complain about it, but how many times does someone need to tell you.
I hate to sound so uncaring, but I wouldn’t be writing these articles, if I didn’t care at all. About two weeks ago a woman called me up and I gave her an estimate for a patio cover that was going to be difficult to build. I have to admit, that there was going to be a lot of work in the foundation and an inexperienced contractor might not have enough information about this type of patio cover construction and this would result in a lower price to the homeowner.
