Bocce is an ancient precision sport that is widely played in Europe particularly in Italy. The sport was brought into North American and Australia by Italian migrants. Bocce court construction in the US doesn’t really follow standard rules. In fact, there are no hard and fast rules as far as the size of the court. For international bocce, however, equipment and courts follow a standard.

If you’re going to play bocce for leisure, you can just construct a court that will fit your backyard and your budget. First, you want to decide whether you want to hire a contractor to build the court or you’d rather do it yourself. Some opt to go DIY on this project because you might be leaving a lot to chance particularly if the contractor is not even familiar with the game.
